Our extra-curricular highlights
Leadership and Critical Thinking
Our school is dedicated to developing strong leadership, public speaking, and critical thinking skills in our students. Our Year 6 Leadership Team provides valuable opportunities for students to take on responsibility and guide their peers. Students can also lead assemblies, participate in community event representation, and engage in enriching competitions such as spelling bees, public speaking contests, and Tournament of the Minds. These experiences empower students to build confidence, communicate effectively, and think creatively, preparing them for future success both inside and outside the classroom.
Creative and performing arts
At our school, creative arts and drama are celebrated as essential ways for students to express themselves and develop their talents. Our vibrant program includes participation in the school band, school musical, and festive Christmas concerts. Students also have exciting opportunities to perform in the statewide Pulse Dance Festival and various local festivals, showcasing their skills and creativity to the wider community. These experiences help build confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy a variety of enriching excursions and community trips, including visits to local beaches, fishing adventures at the river, and memorable overnight excursions. These experiences offer valuable opportunities for students to connect with nature, develop practical skills, and build lasting friendships. Guided and supported by our dedicated staff, these trips foster teamwork, environmental awareness, and a strong sense of community, making learning both engaging and meaningful.
Food Forest
Our school’s Food Forest is a vibrant and thriving garden where students actively engage in planting, nurturing, and harvesting a variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Under the careful supervision of our dedicated staff, children learn hands-on about sustainability, healthy eating, and the life cycle of plants. This interactive garden not only enriches their understanding of nature but also fosters teamwork, responsibility, and a deep connection to the environment. The Food Forest is a growing classroom that cultivates curiosity and a love for gardening in every student.
